// Overview
Cursed Cozy Village is a stylized environment pack in a niche that barely exists on the market: „cozy gothic" - a dark Tim-Burton-style fairytale, yet warm and cozy like cozy games. Instead of photorealism and PBR - hand-painted textures and a toon shader, consistent with my natural style.
The pack is fully modular - you build a whole street from segments of paving, building fronts and fences. The free base is the hook: a complete, usable slice of a town, ready to expand.

// Speedart - how it's made
A time-lapse of building the pack's assets - from base shapes through detailing to hand-painted texture and the final in-engine look.
// What's in the pack
Modular cobblestone, curbs, grated gutters - straight segments and corners.
Timber-framed and stone-base walls, gothic doors, shuttered windows, roof cornices.
Wrought-iron fence (segment, corner, post) and ornamental gates.
Standing and hanging lamps, dead trees, ivy, benches, shop signs and notice boards.
Barrels, crates, sacks, wicker baskets, hand lanterns - to fill the scene.
A complete, stylistically consistent set to build a usable street.
// Tech - my shaders and systems
This isn't „just a model pack". Part of the technical work is custom shaders and systems that give the pack a consistent stylized look and make it easier to use:
- Toon shader - stylized shading of the hand-painted assets (not PBR), a consistent look across the whole pack.
- Wall shader - a material for the modular walls, tuned so segments join without visible seams.
- Glass shader - stylized glass for windows and lamps, matching the toon look.
- Sign system - quick assembly and customization of shop signs.
- Banner system - hanging banners/cloth to decorate the streets.
// My role
- Art direction - defining the „cozy gothic" niche and the style (hand-painted + toon) as a market differentiator.
- Modeling and texturing - the whole modular set and loose props, hand-painted (albedo + normal), optimized.
- Shaders and systems - toon shader, wall and glass shaders, sign and banner systems.
- Publishing - demo scene, assembly and release of the free base pack on the Unity Asset Store.
